Bachelorette night out!

Its amazing how much life changes once you have a baby. Everything was all about ME! Free to go out with my friends when I wanted, and to sleep in!!! All of that was great! But now that Im a mommy, I don't really have a lot of "me" time. so this weekend was a treat for me, one of my best friends threw a bachelorette party for her big sister! It doesn't take much for me to get excited about upcoming events, since i don't get out much (unless its to the grocery store). So all in all I was excited!!! 

 She had it at a martini bar/restaurant called Mu. Great food, great drinks, and great company! Allison didn't want the "usual" bachelorette party, aka strippers, vegas, crazy weekend type stuff. so Lauren decided to throw her a lingerie themed party, where we showered her with undies, bras, negligees, oh and whips! (lol) it was a great time, and Allie seemed to enjoy herself too! 

 As people were arriving, in walked Lisa Jones! I was in her sisters grade, when I attended EAA, it was so nice to catch up! we were texting pictures of us to her sister Kristine, wishing she could've been there with us!

As our night went on, we decided to hit up a couple bars! So we went to Romanos, on our way there I was getting texts from Devin telling me it was time to come home. I of course was like NO WAY! I was having too much fun! Then he called me... Brodie had thrown up, talk about a "buzzkill". I instantly was like "ok, come get me!" He kept telling me that everything was ok but I could no longer have fun if my baby was sick:( so my night came to an end as everyone else continued into the wee hours of the morning! And you know what? thats ok... cause at the end of my night I get to curl into bed with Devin and my baby.

Falling into "fall'

Where to begin, where to begin?.... Its the Fall, and well it still feels like summer outside! I'm so ready for it to cool off and stay that way for more than 3 days in a row!!! but in the meantime I'm still going to put on cozy clothes and pretend I'm not sweating my bum off. Maybe, just maybe it will change the weather..... maybe.

One thing I love about October is that there are pumpkin patches everywhere!!!! At least in Temecula there is. But whats the Fall without visiting Bates nut farm? Ive been going there since I was little, and I love taking my little man to the same places where many of my fondest memories are! He loved the piles of pumpkins, he was climbing all over them and trying to pick them up.

This last weekend we were able to visit Peltzer Farms, a cute little pumpkin patch with train rides, a petting zoo, and pig races! Devin's sister Liz, her husband Andy and their son James joined us! I felt so bad because it was their anniversary and they drove all the way up to Temecula and it was ROASTING!!!! the boys were troopers though, I think we were he babies.... at least I was. I may have been more content if they sold wine or something, after all we were in wine country. All in all it was a good time:)

More Holiday fun to come!!!

Fun with B!

Today was fun, we woke up and got some stuff done around the house! And got coffee of course!!! Then headed off to B's house! Where she did a little photo shoot for st pattys day! Brodie had slept quite a bit this morning, so I thought that he would do pretty good but he got kind of fussy. But by the end we just laid a blanket outside and relaxed and talked, and of course took some pictures:) all in all it was a good day!

Dinner experiment!

Ok so I find tons of recipes on pinterest, crock pot ones are my favorite because they're quick and easy!! So tonight im making lasagna, that's right! Lasagna in a crock pot! I know, amazing right? Let's hope so!

So all you need is:
Lasagna noodles
Sauce
Ricotta cheese
Mozzarella cheese (grated)
Parmesan cheese (grated and optional)
Ground beef/turkey (also optional)

Spread a layer of sauce at the bottom of your crock pot. Then break and place the noodles to fit to the bottom of the pot. Add a layer of meat ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, spread more sauce, and repeat the process a couple times and that's it! (I added a little bit of water to my sauce to to kind of cook the noodles) cook on low for an hour then on high for about 3/4 hours. And I your making yours with meat you have to ground it and cook it first!

So, sounds easy enough right? Let's hope so!!! We shall see how this turns out!!! Enjoy;)

ASH & RY WEDDING FUN!!!!

we went and looked at locations for ash and rys wedding, which was fuuuun! and it gets me all excited to plan my wedding! Im getting so many ideas and taking many notes. I took a few snapshots of them getting their engagement photos too, it was so cold that day and I didn't have a sweater!! 

SEA WORLD:

Being an (almost) stay at home mom can be so lonely at times so about a week ago I decided to get a pass to sea world just to get out and about! Its amazing how I used to hate to go anywhere alone, but now I do just about anything to stay busy, and get out of the house! Plus its good for Brodie too! (If you look at the last pic that shark was headed straight for us!!! scary!)

7 MONTHS!!!

My boy is officially 7 months old! Its feels like yesterday we just found out we were even expecting! he's become such a character, he's on his hands and knees now rocking and wanting to get around sooo bad! soon we won't be able to hold him back! he's been saying babababa a lot and i

I swear I've heard him say mama a couple times... Dev is still trying to get him to say dada though. Im so excited to see what new things he will learn but I want him to slow it down! he's growing up too fast!

FIRST ENTRY!!! Valentines day:)

This is my first entry!!! here it goes..

   On 2-14-2012 was Brodie's first valentines day!!! He woke me up early, as usual. I wasn't to sure what we could do since Devin had to work all day, so we got ready and went to Temecula to spend the day with my mom!  When we arrived we were welcomed by Freddie! It was the first time him and Brodie got to interact, Freddie was sooo curious about this little person!!

  we went on to visit Ashley and check out Ryans new gym! Unfortunately he wasn't there, so we just took pictures in there and texted them to him!

Then my mom and i went to pic up court court at school! she hadn't seen Brodie in quite some time... Lets just say we got ambushed by a bunch of screaming girls wanting to see little B!!! Sadly my fun day with mom had to come to an end, I had to go home. But it sure was nice to come home to my love! 

We've never really celebrated Valentines day really; sure we would go out to dinner or he would buy me flowers but last year we went to Disneyland! Which was my gift that year, and to my surprise Devin proposed to me! So now every year Valentines will mark a very special moment in our lives! Cause not only were we expecting our first child later that year but we then made a promise to spend the rest of our lives together!!!

I hope I did ok for my first entry!... There will be more to come, I promise!!! With Brodie growing like a weed and a wedding to plan I will have plenty to write about!!!
